Humans of Duke Sanford

Right now the government is trying to sign a peace process with the guerrillas. The negotiations have been going on for a long time, and [the agreement] is expected to be signed on March 25, 2016. This is why I am interested in peace-building and conflict resolution because Colombia is going to be transitioning into a post-conflict country. It will be challenging as it is quite complex. Initially when I applied here, I came with the idea of focusing on peace-building and conflict resolution. But now, I am thinking of focusing on social policy, especially regarding good governance. - Nathalia Aguirre-Castro, first year Master of International Developmental Policy (MIDP) Program
