Humans of Duke Sanford

“Public Policy was a great foundation and really fit my interests well.  On the team we definitely emphasize public service, and community service. One of the sayings that Coach Cut has is, ‘Leave the place better than you found it.’ So, when we do our community service activities, we think how we can generate change using our platform as athletes on campus.  For example, every year we have these talks with Dean Sue and the folks in the Health Office about sexual assault on Duke’s campus. And as football players, if we’re standing up and saying we’re in support of eradicating sexual assault on campus, maybe our voice can impact the rest of the community.” - Quentin Harris, PPS’19, Duke Football quarterback
